Good to know
The trip to the seals starts from Hörnum on Sylt and takes you directly to the impressive resting places of the seals in the Wadden Sea. These unique natural experiences, where you can see either hundreds of seals on the sandbanks or only a few in the water depending on the tide, are a highlight for all age groups. During the tour, a small net is lowered into the water and the staff of the Wadden Sea Conservation Station (www.schutzstation-wattenmeer.de) provide a natural science insight into the underwater world. The animals caught during the sea creature catch are released again after the trip. This tour offers both entertainment and education by vividly bringing the life of the North Sea and the seals closer.
