Castles, meadows, locks, and industrial culture: This is also the Ruhr area! The tour begins at 9:00 o'clock in Essen at the parking lot behind the Hügel pier. From there, our shuttle bus takes you to Marina Graf Bismarck (Stölting Harbor) in Gelsenkirchen, where the ship and its crew are already waiting for you. During the journey along the Rhine-Herne Canal and the Ruhr, passing through a total of 6 locks in Gelsenkirchen, Oberhausen, Mülheim, and Essen, you will see, among other sights, mining harbors, the industrial harbor in Mülheim, and the castles Landsberg and Hugenpoet. On board, you can purchase food and drinks to refresh yourself during the trip. After about 7 hours of cruising, you will reach the Baldeneysee around 17:00 o'clock and disembark again at the Hügel pier. Please note: Waiting times at the locks can cause delays. Dogs are generally allowed. However, since the trip including the bus ride lasts about 8 hours and does not stop along the way, it can be more stressful than fun for the animals. Please carefully consider whether you want to subject your dog to this.
